Wither Wednesday Giveaway...

Happy Wednesday Giveaway!

Wither by Lauren DeStefano just happens to be one of my favorite reads from last year.  In fact, I loved it so much I bought it for my sister for Christmas.  She loved it too!

So in honor of Fever (book 2) having released on February 21st, and since I had an extra copy laying around, I thought, "Hey, why not give one away?"

Book Description by Amazon:

By age sixteen, Rhine Ellery has four years left to live. A botched effort to create a perfect race has left all males born with a lifespan of 25 years, and females a lifespan of 20 years--leaving the world in a state of panic. Geneticists seek a miracle antidote to restore the human race, desperate orphans crowd the population, crime and poverty have skyrocketed, and young girls are being kidnapped and sold as polygamous brides to bear more children.
When Rhine is sold as a bride, she vows to do all she can to escape. Yet her husband, Linden, is hopelessly in love with her, and Rhine can’t bring herself to hate him as much as she’d like to. He opens her to a magical world of wealth and illusion she never thought existed, and it almost makes it possible to ignore the clock ticking away her short life. But Rhine quickly learns that not everything in her new husband’s strange world is what it seems. Her father-in-law, an eccentric doctor bent on finding the antidote, is hoarding corpses in the basement; her fellow sister wives are to be trusted one day and feared the next; and Rhine has no way to communicate to her twin brother that she is safe and alive.
Together with one of Linden's servants, Gabriel, Rhine attempts to escape just before her seventeenth birthday. But in a world that continues to spiral into anarchy, is there any hope for freedom?

Giveaway closes on Tuesday March 6th, at midnight (eastern time.)  You must be 13 years or older (and if you are under 18 year old, you must have parents permission), and you must have a U.S. mailing address. (Sorry no international at this time.)  You can enter below, and Good Luck!

  1. I loved Wither, too! I read it in January. I also just read Delirium and Matched. I loved both of those as well. All are great dystopian trilogies and they never fail to interest me.

  2. Hi ladies!
I've been wanting to read Wither--I loooove that cover. I think my favorite YA read so far in 2012 has been Cleopatra's Moon, but I also liked Anna Dressed in Blood. If late 2011 counts, I have to say Please Ignore Vera Dietz. GREAT book!

    1. I really liked Anna Dressed in Blood! It took me a while to find the nerve to pull it off the TBR pile, but it was well worth it! I definitely have to check out Cleopatra's Moon and Please Ignore Vera Dietz.

    1. Ashley, I've been meaning to read Dr Norrell and Jonathan Strange for forever! I always pick it up at the library, but never take it out! I made the same mistake once with Jellicoe Rad and Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta. Those are my two favorite for this year, even though they been out for quite a while.
